A RAWR-ing Good Time aTop the New 1 Mont Kiara
RAWR at 1 Mont Kiara
The hills are alive with the sound of music… Well, almost! Celebrating its recent make-over was just one of the reasons to make RAWR at 1 Mont Kiara’s rooftop abuzz with some of Malaysia’s top talent, as they belted out original hits, globally-recognised covers, and even had the 800-plus person crowd doubling over in fits of laughter – all to celebrate the new 1 Mont Kiara.

As the sunlight dwindled over 1 Mont Kiara’s city skyline, friends and families picked a comfy spot to chillax as the smell of barbecued meat fills the air, teasing the olfactory and growling tummies as they sizzle on the grill, while songbirds serenaded from the stage and comedians send audiences howling in laughter.

RAWR is 1 Mont Kiara’s answer to music and comedy, engineered for all those who crave the extraordinary in life, showcasing “glocal” talent and acquainting the public with the music and comedy scene in Malaysia. In conjunction with the recent refurbishment of the mall, creating an even more exciting suburban shopping precinct for customers, 1 Mont Kiara wanted to celebrate with its community, friends new and old, by hosting an event that espouses community values. Held at the spacious expanse above the mall overlooking residential neighbourhoods home to many expatriates, RAWR is a display of 1 Mont Kiara’s continual commitment to the communities it serves and an exemplar of how not all the best events in town are necessarily black-tie affairs.

Guitars, some percussion, a few mic stands, and a whole lot of great food – these are common and uncomplicated ingredients to a fun night out. RAWR @ 1 Mont Kiara is all about that and more, celebrating raw talent who have made it in Malaysia and beyond, allowing their personalities to roar on stage.
Narmi charmed the crowd with his composition.
Rising star, Talitha Tan also performed at RAWR.
Malaysia's 'Pocket Dynamite' - Prema Yin - performed as Tracia Chan speed painted.
'Barefoot Musician' Christian Palencia wowed the crowd with his talent.

Anton Cillich interacted with the guests with his rip-roaring performance, supported by his band of merry wisecrackers, including Ross Stephenson, Luwita Randhawa and Kavin Jay.
Ray Cheong - The Guitar Hero - entertained the crowd.
Fazz took the stage and performed their original compositions.
ROZZ unleashed an amazing voice.
Orchanites behind the scene.
