Driving Change: Orchan at the Launch of the DFSK EC35 All-Electric Van

Image
At Orchan Consulting Asia, we’ve never believed in being “sector bound.” Whether it’s consumer brands, tech, F&B, or, in this case, sustainable mobility, we roll up our sleeves and get in the trenches to make sure our clients are seen, heard, and remembered. Recently, we had the opportunity to work with QC Fleet Management Sdn Bhd and DFSK for the launch of the DFSK EC35 all-electric van at the Malaysia Automotive, Robotics and IoT Institute (MARii), Cyberjaya. Beyond being another launch event, it was a milestone moment: an EV designed for last-mile delivery, SMEs, and businesses looking for sustainable fleet solutions . Why the DFSK EC35 Matters “Going green doesn’t have to be expensive.”  - Lim Khoon Yee, Managing Director of QC Fleet Management Sdn Bhd The EC35 proves that sustainability and practicality can co-exist. With zero carbon emissions, lower running costs, and practical design features , it’s positioned as a true workhorse for Malaysian businesses navigati...

People are Brands Too!

Image
Let’s face it. In today’s noisy marketplace, it’s not enough to just have skills. Or experience. Or even a fancy job title. People Google you. They stalk your socials. They make snap judgments before you even say “Hi.” That’s your personal brand in action. Like it or not, you already have one. The real question is: are you shaping it… or letting others do it for you? At Orchan, we know that personal branding isn’t fluff - it’s strategy. Just as companies carefully craft their corporate image, ambitious individuals need to take ownership of how they show up. Because people don’t just buy into brands - they buy into people . Take Dr. Thana Sathasivam, for example. A transformation coach with more than 25 years of corporate, government, and academic experience, Dr Thana recently teamed up with us to launch her book, “Unleash Your Inner Sage.” The book isn’t a dry, jargon-filled manual. It’s written in an easy, approachable style - the kind of guide that feels like a conversation wi...

Blast From the Past: Jane Iredale | Skincare Makeup

Image
When skincare meets makeup magic. Orchan was proud to play a part in introducing Jane Iredale - The Skincare Makeup® to Malaysia, marking the brand’s very first foray into the local beauty scene. What makes Jane Iredale different? Simple: it’s makeup that loves your skin back. Long before “clean beauty” became a buzzword, Jane Iredale was already ahead of the curve. Her products were created with micronised minerals, free from fillers, binders, dyes, and preservatives: a godsend for anyone conscious about what goes onto their skin. It’s this pioneering spirit that’s made the brand a trusted favourite among celebrities, physicians, and beauty aficionados worldwide. The woman behind the brand Jane Iredale didn’t start in a lab - she started in Hollywood. As a casting director working with the likes of Lauren Hutton, Jaclyn Smith, Cybill Shephard, Susan Sarandon, Glenn Close, and Sarah Jessica Parker, she saw first-hand how much skin health impacted confidence and careers. Wat...

Humans of Orchan | Farrell Tan ("The Other Boss")

Image
Farrell Tan Founding Director "The Other Boss", but you better call him Farrell So apparently it’s my turn to share a bit about myself. Around the office, I’m often referred to as “the other boss.” And compared to the rest of the team, I’m definitely the more marcom person;  having cut my teeth in international agencies, mentored by some of the best in the business. Truth be told, I never pictured myself in this line of work. Never in a million years did I imagine co-owning an agency with a Kiwi (not the fruit, though some would argue otherwise!) - working with brands I admire and, in many cases, grew up with. Life’s funny that way. I grew up in a fairly utilitarian household in Melaka. My dad was a teacher, my mum a nurse, and like all good government servants, they preached the importance of education: tuition, extra-curriculars, the works. Luckily for us, there wasn’t much to distract us in small-town Melaka back then, other than tree-climbing, neighbourhoo...
