On
31 December 2011, ENCORP Strand ushered the new year of 2012 with an amazing
countdown party. Aptly themed “Mystical
Eve 2012”, the New Year’s Eve Countdown Party was held at the Red Carpet
Avenue in ENCORP Strand. Poised with a big stage, state-of-the-art sound
system, climate controlled outdoor atrium and loads of parking and other
facilities, attendees of “Mystical Eve 2012” celebrated the countdown to New
Year without the hassle of logistical hassles of being in the city centre.
The
countdown party was hosted by well-known TV personalities Julie Woon and Megan
Tan, featuring a stellar line-up, world-class aerialists ala Cirque de Soleil, illumination
laser light show, 3-D projection mapping and fireworks. Some of the performers
included international pop princess Mizz Nina; hip hop doyenne Joe Flizzow;
rock band, Pop Shutvit; indie-darling, Reza Salleh; Neo-Soul crooner, Najwa
Mahiaddin; and violin virtuoso, Dennis Lau and his compatriot, world-ranked
beat boxer, Shawn Lee. Besides, enthralling party-goers was a unique
performance by “Laser Man”, a duo with the ability to dance in sync with green
laser lights!
The
highly-charged evening of diverse entertainment and fantastic ambiance wowed
the 5,000-strong crowd at ENCORP Strand. The crowd was also introduced to the
“3D Projection Mapping” which broadcasted images into giant screens,
highlighting ENCORP Strand’s overall development and architectural mastery. At
the stroke of midnight, party-goers were also treated to stunning and
multi-coloured fireworks, further enhancing party-goers’ New Year’s Eve
countdown experience.
