The Servcorp Skyline
About eighteen (18) months ago, Orchan had the privilege to launch Servcorp Malaysia’s then newest serviced suite complex in the fashionable, and certainly iconic Nu Sentral. A small affair, with clients, friends of Servcorp, and a few media in attendance, Servcorp Nu Sentral was opened with all the fanfare and sophistication of a high end property launch.

Fast forward to last evening; and we were at it again. This time, in the very swanky Ilham Tower, just opposite The Troika – on the fringe of Kuala Lumpur’s Golden Triangle. Think miles and miles of steel, acres of shiny, reflective glass, and stunning architectural design that would ensure any architect remains on the map; Ilham Tower certainly represents the new breed of skyscrapers; and Servcorp’s ultra-sleek and certainly impressive Level 33 facility screams style and professionalism, in a stunningly conservative way, of course.

It was a rainy Kuala Lumpur evening, as one can expect for this time of the year. Polished floors, fresh paint on the walls, and that new leather smell; guests were guided by usherettes to Level 33, where a quartet performed classical favourites (all donned in tuxedoes I might add); champagne, wine and fruit juice flowing, and plenty of lively conversation.

A strong media turn out ensued, along with some great interviews for television, dailies, and magazines.

Servcorp’s global Chief Operating Officer, Marcus Moufarrige, along with Australian High Commissioner to Malaysia, Rod Smith PSM, were on hand to handle the “official proceedings”; which subtly put, were a couple of short but poignant speeches, a ribbon cutting, and a toast. Very Australian – formal yet informal, serious yet casual. A perfect way to launch such a space, and of course, the latest market offering by an internationally renowned solutions provider.

Media were given guided tours of the facility to see the various categories of serviced office space, experience the facilities, and meet clients already operating from Servcorp. It was also an opportunity to talk with Marcus, Trinh (Servcorp’s Asian Regional Manager), and Joanne (Servcorp’s Country Manager for Malaysia). It was also an opportunity to catch up over some exquisite canapés, and a glass or two of one’s preferred liquid.

For Orchan, the launch represents a move forward with our relationship with Servcorp; having previously worked on select projects for the provider, now on retainer basis as they move forward on strengthening their presence in Malaysia.
