Heralding Malaysia’s New Star in the North
To celebrate a major
milestone for Ipoh Parade, as it completed its transformation, the Festival of Lights kicked off with the
illumination of Ipoh Parade’s state-of-the-art Animated Graphics Façade – a
unique structure bursting with a flurry of colours at the building’s main
entrance. Thousands converged at the mall’s entrance since evening, armed with
balloons in hand and counting down to the precise moment when the building
module galvanizes then comes to life, marking the arrival of a progressive and
enhanced shopping experience to Ipoh Parade.
Earlier throughout
the day, patrons were enticed with numerous activities and attractions,
including large inflatables set up in and out of the mall along with carnival
game booths providing endless fun for families. K-Pop boyband AlphaBAT also
captivated the public with their charm and sleek dance moves. The Korean
sensation debuted a couple of years back and has ben making waves in the
entertainment industry as they continue touring around the region.
Amidst the crowd was
Yang Berhormat Dato’ Dr. Mah Hang Soon, ARA Asset Management Limited’s Director
of Portfolio Management, Thomas Kong, as well as Ipoh Parade’s Centre Manager,
Chan Yu Yin. By the end of their speeches, the VIPs then took to the stage,
pedalling exrcycles with all their might to power up the Animated Graphics
Façade, which gleamed in brilliant white before revealing Ipoh Parade’s logo.
At that very moment, virtual balloons started to colour the screen, prompting
thousands of spectators to release balloons distributed to them earlier
simultaneously, creating a massive polychromatic cloud eclipsing the night sky
as audiences hooted and cheered for Ipoh Parade.

Festival of Lights at Ipoh Parade |
Orchan’s role in the
Festival of Lights went beyond conceptualisation and Public Relations: we
coordinated the various parties involved in making this happen, streamlined the
logistics to ensure a full day of smooth events, and ensured that there was
something happening at every moment along the way. Orchan not only did event
publicity, but pre-event awareness, coordinated advertising and consumer touch
points, and trained the Ipoh Parade team.
