Blast From the Past: Luk Fook Grand Opening @ Genting Sky Avenue

VIP invited guests participated in the ribbon cutting

On 29 June 2018, Luk Fook opened their new store at Sky Avenue Shopping Mall, Genting Highlands Resort, and kicked off the event with a grand-ribbon cutting ceremony led by Mr Wong Wai Sheung, Chairman and Chief Executive of the Group, and many other distinguished guests. Among them were Ms Normah Osmah, Senior Director of Multilateral Trade Policy and Negotiation Division, Datuk Henry Yip Choong Hung, Vice President of Hong Kong-Malaysia Business Association.

Mr. Wong Wai Sheung opening speech

Following the opening, Mr Wong provided a speech in which he expressed Luk Fook’s determination in further expanding their retail footprint, which fulfils their corporate vision of ‘Brand of Hong Kong, Sparkling the World’. He goes on to credit a booming growth in tourism within the region for this opportunity.

During the event, an energetic troupe performed a lion dance at the entrance of the store with the enthralled crowd numbering over a hundred present. Lion dance performances are associated with victory, power, fortune, prosperity. Stores that are graced by a lion dance are said to be blessed with good business all year round.

After the symbolic lion dance, VIPs were ushered into the store to browse. Luk Fook offers a wide variety of jewellery, ranging from necklaces, brooches, rings, pendants and many more, all made with highly-prized materials and excellent craftsmanship.

Luk Fook then officially opened their doors to the public, letting visitors come in to see their new products as well as offering a token of appreciation by giving away Rilakumma^TM Gold Coins to the first one hundred customers.
