Meet Nadine Ann Thomas, a brilliant, consistent, and classic beauty of Miss Universe Malaysia 2010. Following several training, grooming, and modelling challenges which have tested the perseverance of the eighteen girls vying for the title of Miss Universe Malaysia 2010, Nadine was crowned as Miss Universe Malaysia 2010 at the Grand Finale, themed ‘Starry, Starry Night!’ held at Royale Chulan Hotel, 15 May 2010.

Nadine, a 23-year-old event and talent co-ordinator successfully fulfilled the revamped pageant’s criteria of being ‘Hip, Urban, Relevant and Real’. Upon the announcement of her victory moment by Master of Ceremonies, Harith Iskandar, the genuine beauty queen was awarded with RM50,000 cash, a one-year modelling contract with a top Malaysian modelling agency, a one-year Parkson brand ambassadorship in which she was the style ambassador for their print advertising campaigns, and a jewellery set by Elegance Club worth RM30,000. Following her win, Nadine represented Malaysia at the global Miss Universe Pageant in Las Vegas in August 2010.

The top three beauty queens being second runner-up, Vera Hui, first runner-up, Mourhama Reddy, and the Champion, Nadine Ann Thomas were picked by a panel of judges who were present at the Grand Finale include Datin Josephine Fonseka, Dato’ Anna Lin, Dato’ Yasmin Yusuff, Maggie Loo, Elaine Daly, Nancie Foo; Hans Isaac, and Andrew Tan.

Nadine, a self-proclaimed feminist who has a strong sense of purpose to promote gender equality in Malaysia said, “I’m very excited. I wasn’t really expecting it. I’m truly humbled and honoured by it.” On top of that, Andrea Fonseka unanimously agreed that the crown was rightfully Nadine’s, as she said, “Nadine has worked very hard to be here, I couldn’t be happier that she’s won.”

Orchan was responsible to all public relations initiatives surrounding MUMO’s rebranding and the 2010 pageant in Malaysia.
