One thing that 2020 enabled was training!
Our signature Crisis
Management programmes evolved to focus on Business Continuity Planning and the
Role of Communications in Non-Brand Crises – something that many entrepreneurs
and managers needed to explore early on in the year. Many businesses were still
blinded (like deer-in-the-headlights-blinded) with Malaysia’s first lockdowns,
and were extremely slow to react on the communications front. New programmes
included Return on Relationship, Developing Strength of Purpose, BrandYOU, and
programmes examining specific industries in detail – property, retail, and education.
New collaborations saw
Orchan work with old friends and new professional acquaintances, global organisations
such as ACCA, PRCA; regional organisations such as GetCraft, and local
organisations like Thinking Hats. Each webinar was an opportunity to share our
expertise and experience on matters related to Crisis, Business Continuity, and
the broader communications industry. Craig even presented at an online
conference in Africa, exploring the relationship between Development and
Education (a bit out of Orchan’s expertise, but well within his), and at a
regional conference highlighting the SEA Marketing Industry Landscape for
investors.
Orchan topped 2020 off
with a new collaboration, curating our content to fit into short-duration
mobile-based modules for clients to engage with on-the-go.
