We are a full service Communications Agency and Training Provider based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; with feelers / tentacles reaching regionally to Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, and beyond. We are known for our strategic counsel, industry-rich training, innovative campaigns, and prompt activation. We don’t believe in the cookie cutter approach; just as we don’t specialise in a narrow range of industries.
Our belief is that PR is for all – big or small; established or startup – there is a story to tell. It’s our job to enrich and polish that story and get others interested. Orchan has represented global giants including PUMA, Garmin, Pernod Ricard, Red Bull Product of Europe, Philip Morris, Servcorp, Forever 21, Timberland, and Dyson. Conversely, we’ve represented hawker stalls, propelled local start-ups into the national scene, and helped build brand positioning of many Malaysian and regional products, services, and personalities.
Orchan designs and delivers targeted training sessions for clients and selected industry partners. Our broad industry experience means we are well-positioned at the pulse of industry to support and guide clients in keeping abreast of current trends and best practice. We curate specialist training in all areas of Crisis Management & Communications, Stakeholder Engagement Strategy & Change Management, and Strategic Public Relations & Media Landscape.
Our focus is in understanding our client’s business needs – enabling Orchan to be an extension of your team – enabling robust representation. We are not “yes men” – we give considered, strategic counsel to ensure your brand has a sustainable communications trajectory that potentially outlives Agency, team, and stakeholders. Brand sustainability is the ultimate goal, with communication being a key pillar.
Orchan was founded by and is headed by business partners Farrell Tan and Craig J Selby. Farrell is a seasoned PR practitioner with key interests in property, FMCGs, luxury, and B2B marketing. Farrell has over 20 years professional industry experience (with over 10 years in management positions). Craig on the other hand is a career academic and entrepreneur. His core concentration is on management communication and crisis management as key areas in managing change. His interests and experience are in business services, education, F&B, and property. Craig has nearly 20 years of senior management and entrepreneurial experience across industries; with 25 plus years experience in broader industry.
We enjoy engaging with clients from all industries; we believe that powerful communication is about the ‘tell of the story’. A good PR practitioner will get you coverage, a great practitioner will get you remembered. We do more!
