Hold your pumpkins people, the ghouls and ghosties are back. It's Halloween time again, and the shops and malls are out to frighten the ringgit out of you.
Every October, a mainstream American celebration, Halloween becomes the most costumed and spooktacular event for people around the globe. Citta Mall and 1 Mont Kiara celebrated this festival by spreading the excitement of Halloween with a range of kid-friendly events and activities.
The malls were going spooky for Halloween for the kids aged four (4) to twelve (12) years old for a scary good time experience. What’s a Halloween without “Trick or Treat”? Children were all hyped up by going around the mall with their exclusive pumpkin buckets for the trick or treating tradition. This made the best part for the kids during the Halloween celebration.
Another highlight during the celebration was the creative concept of the fashion show for kids in the mall. It is a fun-filled event that opened up opportunities for the kids to unleash their creativity as they dressed up on those amazing eeriest outfit which were indeed cute and funny. One will definitely be surprised by the imagination of the kids these days; for they really deserved a big round of applause for their courage to shine on the stage.
And you know what? It is interesting to tap into the creative mind of the children by encouraging their participation in pumpkin carving competition. Out of all the seasonal DIY crafts that the month of October brings with it, carving Jack o’lanterns has to be the best. This event brought a great deal of exploration to wow the other patrons with the creatively carved Jack o’lanterns, and now they get to win wicked prizes for their creativity.
As Citta Mall and 1 Mont Kiara commonly known as neighborhood malls, located in upscale residential areas, these A&P activities are important in engaging closely with the nearby community. A&P which are appealing to the community lifestyle will certainly draw their interest to visit the mall more often than not; especially when Halloween event which will create a sense of belonging to most of the Australian and American expats families, which in turn reflecting a stronger community focus.
This event fell under Orchan’s role to support the mall’s A&P initiatives in assisting the media liaison role of all its other activities.
