Formerly a physical magazine – which has now gone online
– Oxygen became the first ever magazine in Malaysia to go 3D; oh yes –
three-dimensional. Using specialised 3D printers to enable such publication,
even advertising took on a whole new level. As with 3D movies, all you need is
a pair of 3D glasses.
Orchan was engaged to help spread why Oxygen looked at
innovative new ways to bring content and creativity to readers, as well as to
help host a celebration event where special editions of the magazine was shared
with friends from the industry and its loyal readers. Held at the concourse of
Bangsar Village II, the event saw large 3D posters around for all to experience
the world of 3D.
Sponsored by Martell and Sony, some lucky winners got to
take home some prizes such as a flat screen television. Funny story – the first
lucky name left just five minutes before the draw took place, even after being
told it was happening in five minutes. Lesson learned: never leave until the
lucky draw ends!
While it may have been just a small project for Orchan, it was great to
work closely with the client on multiple platforms to propel their brand.
