Blast from the Past | Celebrating Life's Chapters

It's Your Story | Tell It Celebrating Life's Chapters Probably one of our all-time favourites, and not just because Rebecca is a personal friend of ours! Celebrating Life's Chapters is run by Journalist and Editor Rebecca Skinner. Working individually with clients to learn their life story, and to curate that into a professionally written and bound book to share with family and friends - keeping individual stories alive for generations to come. Rebecca has worked with a range of clientele in the Asia-Pacific region to tell their stories - their hardships, successes, journeys, and keep their history alive for generations to come. We loved helping Rebecca out - as storytellers ourselves, it's great to see new ways to keep everyday history alive - especially history that means so much for those who are part of it. Quote of the Day | Branding

Image
… Is Branding Your brand goes so much deeper than the product or service you offer and the label on the packaging. Every touch point, every customer-representative interaction, every online experience … it is all part of your branding! If you don't think you've hit it square on, start with a Brand Audit. Understand where you can do more, and channel more effort into those areas.  Need help? Drop us a line changenow@orchan.asia or call 03-2110 9407 for a chat on how Orchan can help.

With today's theme being an exploration of disruption, we thought the following quote quite apt. Yes, there are opportunities! Yes, there are downsides! It's how you strategically analyse and balance these in your favour that counts. Unsure? Call us 03 2110 9407 or drop us a line changenow@orchan.asia for a chat.

Thought Leadership | A Downside to Disruption & Change?

A Downside to Disruption & Change Commentary by Craig J Selby I’m not taking aim at the gig economy per se, but it is a commonality when we look at some of the negatives associated with change and disruption. Don’t get me wrong; I’m all for change, and I’m all for creating new opportunities. But, it doesn’t mean that all disruption and change will be good for all, and it doesn’t mean that the disruption will be good for business as a whole. Disruptive practices, often associated with the gig economy, and non-asset-holding models of business (eg: AirBnB, Uber, etc) are the catalyst for much-needed change in many industries; but they aren’t all ‘sunshine and roses’. All too often, the businesses that they disrupt end up by losing out; either because they are replaced, or they are forced to lower their pricing to fit into the model – in order to enable profit to be earned by the disruptor. From a consumer perspective it is all about ‘new opportun...

Getting to Know Farrell | His PR Journey

Image
Understanding Farrell We don't often hear a lot from Farrell - he's usually quite happy being behind the scenes and out of the spotlight, and down at the local mamak drinking teh-tarik. But as one half of the Orchan Founding Team, Farrell contributes a huge amount to not only our clients and business, but to the training of our teams as well. He leads a significant number of our projects, and enjoys working on a variety of clientele. And when motivated right, he even conducts training. Farrell's had a diverse background; has worked on some amazing clients (both before and with Orchan), and brings to the table his own unique perspective on PR and working with people. So, we thought it was time for you to get to know him a little more.
