With retail and commercial sectors being hit hard from the government-initiated lockdowns earlier in 2020, and the ongoing uncertainty surrounding the pandemic and its potential outcomes, the property sector has been hit hard. From stores closing, to businesses moving to work-from-home as the 'next normal', change is afoot, and we are uncertain whether this change is temporary or permanent.

One thing we do know though, is that property owners and asset managers are being hit hard by the knock-on effect of these events - be it from tenants asking for rental reductions, to tenants vacating premises, to large blocks of square footage being available but little interest in revival from prospects.

Each of these is a challenge, but moreover, the challenge comes in terms of how investors, owners and managers can pivot their property to stay afloat in the crisis, to stay relevant to the stakeholders and communities they serve,
